My dream

Helloeveryone! Today, I want to tell you about my dream. It's super exciting! I think about it all the time, even when I'm doing my homework or helping my parents wash dishes.

My biggest dream is to become a space explorer! I want to fly in a spaceship and visit differe nt planets. I first got interested in space when dad bought me a telescope for my birthday last year. We put it on our balcony and looked tar ethe first time I saw the moon thro ugh my telescope, it looked so bi y dad also showed me Mars, which looked like kept thinking about what it would be like to walk on the moon or visit Mars.

At school, science is my favorite subject. My teacher always says I ask the most questions duri ng our space lessons. Last month, we learned about the International Space Station, and I was so a mazed! Astronauts live there for months and do experiments in space. They even sleep floating in t he air because there's no gravity! Can you imagine how fun that would be?

I have a special notebook where I write down facts about space. Did you know that one day o n Venus is longer than one year on Venus? That means if y live on Venus, your birthday would come before the day ended! Isn't that crazy? I learn these cool facts from the space books I borro w from our school library. I've read almost all of them now!

My room is decorated with glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling. When I turn off the lights at night, it feels like I'm already in space. I have posters of planets and famous astronauts on my wall s. My favorite astronaut is the first Chinese er o space. I saw this astronaut in a docum entary, and this person was so brave! I want to be brave like that someday.

Sometimes my friends laugh when I tell them I want to be an astronaut. They say it's too diffi cult and only a few people get to go space. But my grandma always tells me, "If you can drea m it, you can do it!" She says I should never give up on my dreams, no matter how big they see m. My grandma is very wise, so I believe her.

To prepare for my future as an astronaut, I know I need to study hard. Math and science are very important for astronauts. I'm yin bette math, even though it's sometimes difficult. Yesterday, I got an A on my math tes abou actions! I was so happy I showed everyone in my f amily. My little brother didn't understand why I was so excited, but my parents were very proud.

I also try to stay healthy because astronauts need to be fit. I drink milk every morning and eat lots of vegetables, even though I don't really like broccoli. I also joined the swimming team at sch ool. Swimming makes your body strong, and it's a little bit like floating in space, I think!

Last summer, my parents took me to the science museum in Shanghai. There was a special spa ce exhibition where you could try on a space suit and sit in a model of a space capsule. It was th e best day ever! The space suit was really heavy, and the guide told us real astronauts train for ye ars to get used to wearing it. I didn't mind the weight because I was too excited pretending to be on a mission to Mars!

In my free time, I like to build model rockets with my dad. We use cardboard, plastic bottles, and sometimes even old toys. Our rockets don't really fly to space, of course, but we launch them i n the park using a special pump that builds up air pressure. Our last rocket went so high we almos t lost it in a tree!

At night, before I go to sleep, I often wonder if there are other children on different planets w ho look up at the stars and wonder about us too. Are there alien kids who dream of visiting Earth someday? Maybe in the future, I could be the first person to meet them and become friends!

My mom says dreaming is important because dreams give us something to work toward. She s ays when she was my age, she dreamed of becoming a doctor, and now she works at the big hospi tal in our city. She helps sick people get better every day. I think that's amazing, but I still want t o explore space more than anything.

Sometimes I worry that my dream is too big. There are millions of children in China, and onl y a few can become astronauts. But then I remember what my teacher said: even if I don't become an astronaut, studying space can lead to many exciting jobs. I could design spacecraft, work in mi ssion control, or discover new stars as an astronomer. As long as I'm doing something with space, I think I'll be happy.

So that's my dream! I'm going to work very hard to make it come true. Maybe someday, you'll see me on TV, waving from a spaceship window as I head to the moon or Mars or even further! And if you have a big dream too, don't let anyone tell you it's impossible. Like my grandma says, if you can dream it, you can do it!

I've started learning English too, because astronauts need to speak English. It's hard but fun! I practice every day with apps on my parent's phone. I also watch space documentaries in English wi th subtitles. Sometimes I don't understand everything, but I'm getting better! I want to be ready whe n space agencies call me for training. My teacher says learning languages makes your brain stronger, just like exercise makes your body stronger!
